Corn protein meal is a by-product of corn grain after starch production in the pharmaceutical industry or alcohol extraction in the wine industry. Its protein nutrients are rich, and it has special taste and color. It can be used as feed. Compared with fish meal and bean cake commonly used in the feed industry, it has obvious resource advantages and high feeding value. The advantage of corn protein meal as a feed can be developed is that the industrial scale production is expanding, the anti-nutrient factor content of the product is small, the potential development of large, the feed safety performance is good, therefore, corn protein meal has a very broad production prospects.
1 Composition of corn gluten meal
Corn gluten meal, also known as corn gluten meal, is mainly composed of corn protein and contains small amounts of starch and fiber. Protein exists in the gastrointestinal tract of pigs in two states: soluble protein and insoluble protein. Insoluble protein is easy to combine with other macromolecular organic matter or trace elements, and is not easy to be absorbed and utilized by animals. Almost all of it is excreted by animals and is the component of fecal dry matter. Starch contains resistant starch and chronic starch. Resistant starch is not easily hydrolyzed by amylase in the digestive tract, and its viscosity increases after absorbing water, which affects the peristalsis of chyme and the digestion and absorption of nutrients. The fiber component of corn gluten meal is composed of NSP and lignin. The content, species and structure of NSP affect the digestion and absorption of the diet to some extent, and also affect the utilization and excretion of nitrogen.
2 Nutritional composition of corn gluten meal
The nutritional composition of corn protein meal produced by different uses and different production processes is different, which directly affects its effective utilization rate and economic benefit of feed formula. The corn protein powder produced by the pharmaceutical industry contains more than 60% protein. Its protein content is 21% and 3.7% higher than that of bean cake and fish meal respectively, which is a raw material with high protein content. There is also an index that has a relatively large impact, the ash content. The corn protein meal produced by our company is a biological medium specially customized for microbial fermentation with relatively low ash content.
